چکیده
In the present study, groundwater suitability for domestic and irrigation purposes was analyzed in alluvial aquifers of Bist-Doab region Punjab, India, using various indices such as WQI, WAWQI, MCDA, RSC, SAR, PI, %Na, KR, MH, PS, K, Ka. Since it is difficult to assess based on individually, a composite quality index (CGQII) used study which transforms nine single value each sample. Results reveal that few blocks found unsuitable use due chemical leaching from fertilizers, pesticides, agricultural industrial wastes. Whereas, mainly southwestern parts long-term water accumulation continuous sodium-ion-rich groundwater. The findings conclude anthropogenic activities have played significant role making unfit area. also emphasizes monitoring evaluation quality, will help strategic planning management conservation resources region.
